Do you disclose your costume prior to Halloween or do you keep it a surprise? If you tell, what will you be? If you don't tell, why the secret?

I usually dont know my costume until im creating it 5 minutes before leaving my house. Its a big secret to everyone including me.

Agreed. Last minute planning all the way!

I was going to go as "The Most Interesting Man in the World" but now I'm in crisis mode because I'm not finding white or gray hair coloring...so I'm basically in a panic for an easy beard costume to pull off.

I haven't ruled out rehashing last year's costume of Alan from the Hangover (it's my twitter pic at www.twitter.com/johnpnorris)

I dress in drag for Miss Adams Morgan. I mean, really? How much of a secret can that be.

Though, Jon hasn't seen my ensemble yet.

its not a secret, but you should make the complete look of the costume somewhat of a secret so its a good surprise when people see you.

I usually disclose it, but not this year...my brother and I are dressing up as my parents, I stole all of their stuff while they were on vaca :-)

John, my friend wally did the most interesting man in the world last year sans beard and hair coloring so you can do it anyway. he was young once. just make sure you always have a dos equis in your hand and maybe a fake pic of your mom with a "son" tattoo in your wallet.

this year my costume is built around wanting to have an excuse to wear new pole dancing boots outside the dance studio, so i was gonna be either a cat or a witch (the boots are black and i didn't want to spend much), and then i decided i'd be a witch with a "hello my name is" sticker that says "christine o'donnell, aka YOU". so i'll be sexy christine o'donnell/christine o'donnell of halloweens past (see terribly inappropriate gawker story yesterday). but given the nature of the pole dancing boots some might also think i'm just a drag queen witch, which i'm ok with.

halloween was a huge deal in austin, so i usually announce my costume for the year in march and then change my mind a few times and them finally commit to something. so yes, i always disclose.

I tend to disclose as well. I've been wanting to be a spelling bee for two years now but I've been lucky enough to get tickets to MAMP so I haven't been able to dress up in my super creative nerdy costume.

I'm going as an earnest native Virginian who thinks you should vote for Tom Perriello to represent Virginia's 5th Congressional District.
