fish. partly because having a coworker who would eat fish that was cooked in the office microwave would kinda sketch me out. plus i had a very traumatic experience in h.s. where we dissected squid and then cooked the calamari right on our lab tables. i couldn't stand to smell it much less eat it. i smelled like fish all day.
fish! i once worked at an office that had a ban on heating up fish. and one time someone opened a can of tuna and got death stares from other employees. (it wasn't me)
I'm guilty of both cooking popcorn and eating fish tacos (that were purchased offsite) in my office. I definitely got more dirty looks from the popcorn, but have to agree that popcorn smells way better than fish. So final answer- fish. Ps- don't burn the popcorn unless you're in your dorm room trying to cover up the smell of smoking pot, like my roommates used to do.

I asked this question at work yesterday and got equal answer for each. I think I'd have to say popcorn. It permeates farther and lasts longer.

I'd have to go with FISH. Popcorn smell just makes me want popcorn.
fish is definitely worse! you can always share popcorn.
