Under what conditions would you take a magazine or tear out an article from a doctor's office?

Never. Can't see myself being THAT interested in a magazine article. Maybe a Gladwell article in the New Yorker.

I do this all the time, kind of. I take a picture with my blackberry.

when it's something I really want to remember or read again, but only if no one else is in the room. I assuage my guilt by leaving the magazine or newspaper I have brought with me.

If I can access the magazine online, I'll make a note of the title, issue, and date, but I like Ken's idea better

Under any condition. Highlights has the best puzzles.

Any. If I feel like it. There's always a plethora of magazines, and it's not like they have to spend money on office supplies what with the drug reps and all their chum. I feel completely entitled.

Don't do it often though because a)the magazines suck b)ew, germs. The only place I'm completely germophobic is the doctor's office.

I'll rip out a recipe or a one-pager if there's no one else in the room. I have no shame with the airplane magazines, either.

I've ripped out little work outs from men's mags...because lord knows they'll never repeat their "awesome new ab workout" article
