What book would you recommend to someone who has never really been able to get into books on tape that would get them hooked?

I'm going to say it, Harry Potter. Jim Dale is amazing. The key to a good audiobook is the reader.

But I bet Beth the librarian has some good suggestions.

They make audio books?

I used to work for Random House Audio before my librarian days, so I'm an audiobook convert myself. Bill Bryson reads his own stuff and is awesome. The Harry Potter audios are really good too, Leslie! Jim Dale won Grammys for us reading these; we would celebrate at work with champagne.

My hairdresser told me the Sookie Stackhouse audiobooks are real steamy and the lady who reads them does everyone's voices in a hilarious way.
