Duh, I'm from Wisconsin. I had my first fake id before I graduated from high school. What a great summer (nostalgiac sigh)

Yes. My older brother turned 21 two years ahead of me. In RI, they give you a 2 year license and a 5 year license. Both say "Under 21" but the second license expires when you're 23. After getting flack about it, he came home for Spring Break, "lost" it and got a new one. I bought it for $5 and enjoyed my Freshman & Sophomore years of college. Good times, good times.

never had the need to

My best bud freshman year had a fake so we basically put the children of the family who ran the corner store through college with all the stuff we bought.

Spent my junior year in Scotland, so no need for it there

I had a really, really bad one sophomore year of college. I only had the courage/stupidity to use it twice before chucking it (using a fake id was grounds for a semester suspension at my college).

When I was in grad school I always got a kick out of hearing freshmen trying to recite the info on their fakes as they walked toward the bars. Those were some outcome-oriented kids.

Nope. I didn't drink until i was almost 21 anyway, and even then it was booze bought for us by my roommate's mom when she went to Mexico. I had my first drink in a bar on my 21st birthday.

nope. I am a hardcore rule-follower. All my drinking has been totally legal.

I got my first ID when I was 16. I used it to get my first tattoo in Portland, ME. (The way life should be.) I lost it when I had my wallet/planner stolen during high school graduation. (Douches.) Then I Got my second fake ID when I was 19 and had that until I tried to get into a bar after a long night of nickel draft/dollar pitchers one summer night when I was 20 1/2. (I was the idiot that night, always know the astrological sign of your fake ID.)

My sister who is two years older looks a lot like me. She refused to let me "borrow" her real license, but she was nice enough to give me her college ID, which actually had a birth date on it. This ID actually worked at a townie bar in Wooster Ohio on a regular basis. The bar served 25-cent beer in mason jars, to give you an idea of the ambiance of the place.

At Marist we perfected the art of "chalking" with NY licenses.

absolutely. used a terrible one freshman (Lisa Hauser from TN) to get into bars in Saratoga Springs. Then had a bad VT one that worked at gas stations to buy beer. My junior year I used my friends and it worked great at UNH.
My VT one got taken away from me 2 months before I turned 21. Had to go to court and when it was finally in the paper....Kathryn Cady, 21 - possession of a fake id. awesome...my parents were so proud.

allegedly. mine was from an older teammate who was from windsor, canada. she got it when she was under 18 so by the time i had it, it was super old and beat up. i used clear nail polish to keep the laminate from falling off. but it worked.

Oh, the fake ID stories I could tell!
My first year of college at Loyola in Chicago there was a woman who worked in the C-store in my dorm late shift. She was always rocking out to hip hop or house music, so my friend Vanessa & made friends with her. She found someone's Illinois ID on the floor, & tho the girl was about three inches shorter than me, she looked a lot like me. So my (second) fake was given to me by the cool C-store lady & was a real Illinois ID that said I was 26.
During my one year in Chicago, I acquired 3 fakes, all pretty damn good. One a boyfriend from the art institute made with their scanners & printers so that we could go to his favorite bar that night. It said I was from Chesterfield, NY. No idea where that is.
Weirdest part is I never used them to drink or buy alcohol. I just wanted to be able to go into the bars where my favorite bands & DJs were playing...
