What style tie do you prefer paired with a tuxedo?

I'm old school. Nothing better than an actual black bow tie...you know, the kind that you have to tie. It works for the party, and the after party, as you can untie it and just let it hang. The only thing you can do with a regular tie at the after party is tie it around your head after your third Jager Bomb.

No tuxes. Just suits.

A bow tie, paired with tux shirt, jacket, jeans, belt buckle, boots, and cowboy hat.

classic bow tie. no contest. and no clip ons either. the people who wear regular back ties are basically just wearing a black suit. a bow tie is what makes it a tux, especially in the absence of a shiny vest or cumberbund.

Cate, I think you're forgetting the bolo tie option . . .

I love a man in a bow tie.

Bow Tie. Classy. Simple. Elegant. Just like me. And Beenu before Sweet Tea Vodka

I like the current trend towards neckties. Bowties are for old professors or young republican douchebags.

Neckties are for 14 yr old boys and old people who can't use their thumbs anymore. Bowties.
