it didn't have a name...but it was rigged to start with the push of a button, and the rear bumper was held on with wire...

I had a 1996 Dodge Avenger, which was simply named "The Avenger". My second car was a yellow SUV named "The Yellow Dart" - much more fun.

Stella!!!
'84 chrysler LeBaron. she was matte grey, with a padded roof that was shedding off. she got hit and one back bumper was smashed in. the inside was dark blue velour...with a bench seat up front. She was the best. when you turned her off she banged and rattled for a good minute. I drove her until i was told she was a death trap.
I miss her.

Is it just me, or is naming a car something done primarily by girls? I've had by trusty '97 Corolla for a while, but it has remained nameless/genderless. Though since it's color is officially listed as "Periwinkle," I don't think anything like "Blade" or "Laser" would work.

My 1987 Volvo was Johan. My 1986 BMW was Otto the Auto.

Daphne. She was a white '88 Toyota Corolla and she rocked until I accidentally drove her under a truck. That sucked.

I haven't named any car since my first. She was a 1981 Datsun 280ZX...and she was unbelievable. Her name was Lola, she was a showgirl... Actually, she was so named after the Kinks song...coz for such a sexy woman, she had huge balls.

The Farrington's had many a used car growing up. It's hard to say what the first was, but the memories of the 1984 Caprice Classic are great. We called it 'the sled.'
