let's see, lunchboxes were: GLOworms, little miss piggy (oh the irony kate), holly hobby. i loved the way the box smelled when you opened it after rotting in your locker half a day.
once in a while i bought. it was a treat. it was a dollar. 75 cents for lunch 25 cents for ice cream.
it was a cycle... lunch box, brown paper bag, back to lunch box. they became cool again in high school, or at least i thought they were. btw, it was a curious george one.
Brown bag about 99% of the time from kindergarten to senior year of high school. Yes my mom packed it, and she had a set schedule. It varied but I'm pretty sure I had a bagel and yogurt every monday for 13 years.
Mom had an obnoxious yet sweet habit of throwing a peanut butter & honey sandwich (in a plastic sandwich bag)in my backpack with out telling me. So two days later after it had slid to the bottom of the bag & been smashed by math & english books, I would wonder why my notebook was sticky. Then I'd discover the gooey mess at the bottom of my backpack.
Brown bag, then around the time people just starting getting blue recycling bins in my town, I got a cloth bag which I used through HS. I never bought, except in HS when I could get an undercooked chocolate chip cookie for 25 cents!
