If I were to get crazy, I would have the Harry Potter series translated as audiobooks. And I would give them to Ashley as a gift. She loves Harry Potter. A lot!
Easy - I would translate some of my favorite childrens books. 1. Are you there God, it's me Margret 2. Matilda 3. The whole Babysitters Club series - including the special ones where they went on cruises and such.

A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, or maybe the entire Sweet Valley High series
Little Women
The Federalist Papers
the Harry Potter series
Either "The Giving Tree" or "Where the Sidewalk Ends" by Shel Silverstein. I loved those books as a kid.
Kama Sutra. Am I right ladies?
To Kill a Mockingbird

I agree - To Kill a Mockingbird
Obama's books and speeches, so they know there's more to current American political thought than "with us, or against us."
The Autobiography of Malcolm X
Night, Elie Wiesel
or America (the book)
