I had to cut it off the cob and eat it with a fork in 4th, 5th and 6th grade when I had braces. Sometimes I eat mini corn on the cob straight across too - like Tom Hanks in Big.
This andrew kid sounds like nerd. I bet he eats them with a pocket protector in his shirt.
I like to start off seeing how much I can fit into my mouth. It's great practice on the gag reflex for some other activity involving a similar shape. You know what I am talking about. Am I right, ladies?
this just-sully person took my comment. i need to be quicker with this answering thing.
anywho, i hold on to the handle part and eat across. and i apply butter to the row as i go along. i'm more specific about my corn preparation though... on a grill but wrapped in foil tightly so it's perfectly steamed. oh geez i sound like a bigger nerd than this andrew guy :)

straight across. probably because it reminds me of the bugs bunny cartoons where eating corn on the cob was likened to a typing on a typewriter.
