Growing up, when you heard someone mention "tubing", did you think of river tubing or boat tubing?

Boat tubing cuz we were near the ocean and I wouldn't want to go tubing on Rhode Island's Blackstone River.

boat tubing. we used to get pulled behind grampa's 45 hp pontoon boat. what a ride.

I didn't know boat tubing was a thing until adulthood. River tubing is where it's at. South Fork of the Shenandoah, specifically.

Back when I was in NE I would have said tubing is when you are pulled behind a boat. Now though, I would think of it as floating down a river in a tube. Interesting question! I've never thought about it.
