Pope Benedict XVI announced he will resign on Feb 28. Smart, self-aware 85 year old setting a good, new precedent or total quitter?

Hahhahahahahahaha. People should know their limits.

Quitter. He is not setting a good, new precedent on account of HM The Queen of the Netherlands (like her two predecessors) abdicating their position two weeks ago.

He said he would never resign if it got too tough, and lo and behold, he is.

I'd just like to point out - he is three years younger than Senator Frank Lautenberg of New Jersey. But he's a self aware 85 year old quitter. He's not setting a precedent, since this was done once before.

Apparently the pope never read Phillipians 4:13

Quitter. See Andrew. Also, he did ZERO succession planning and caught his staff off guard, sending them in a tailspin. Not a sign of a good leader in my view. Plus he resigned in Latin, a language many of the priests in attendance did not understand.
