I think we need to do more to make it easy for people to exercise their right to vote. We need to encourage early and absentee voting.
Making election day a holiday would help, but we really have to commit to making it a holiday or folks who work in the service industries are still going to have a tough time getting to the polls. Perhaps businesses who give their employees a paid day off could get a tax break?

If not a national holiday, make it a two-day event over a weekend.
