What do you think of mayors (like those in Boston, Chicago, and DC) vocalizing opposition to Chik-fil-a running businesses in their cities?

Much ado about nothing. You should not be able to prevent businesses from doing business if they are not breaking the law.

They are completely ignorant of their job duties. You can't stop a single company, and if they want to limit companies that support such agendas 1) its illegal and 2) then you gotta toss the Catholic church and all other religious groups, Forever 21 is religious, so is Marriott, Service Master, Hobby Lobby, etc, etc.

I thought it was wrong and really stupid. Totally stepped on the message and gave Chick-fil-a a victim card. Plus it's dangerous and illegal to have an ideological litmus test for who can and can't do business in a city. It all stank of grandstanding.

I guess I'm in the minority, but don't have a problem with it. Mayors should have the option to say we're not interested in doing business with you. I have no problem with creating economic consequences for treating people like second class citizens.
