I also saw it in the theater twice. I cried lots during the first viewing - not because of Rose and Jack, but because I kept thinking about all of the real people who died. The stuff with the mom and the kids killed me. And the old couple in the bed - sob!

No. Back then, sitting in a theater for three hours seemed like an excessive amount of time.
