What do you think of Dems in the WI State Senate disappearing to stall the vote to cut benefits & change collective bargaining for public employees?

brilliant. while still a total political stunt, it gave them time to agree to all of the monetary conditions and expose the union busting parts of the bill for what they are.

I think it's bad ass.

The budget doesnt have to be passed until August, the Governor was just being a pain in the ass. Also the unions said they would take the pension cuts and pay their own health care if the governor left collective bargaining on the table and he said no, proving that this is pure union busting and not about the budget. And the fact that he had to call Michelle "Dumb Shit" Bachmann to come hold a tea bagger rally against the union rally is childish. Michigan was in the same budget predicament last year and the Governor used collective bargaining to agree on the pension cuts and the health care payments, and shit worked.

when the gov creates a "budget crisis" by getting rid of taxes on business, he should expect this. i love it.

it kind of makes me sick to my stomach to think that this almost got railroaded through. i though the GOP was about limiting government and expanding personal freedoms, not the other way around.

I love it when Democrats flee the state to stall bad legislation.

Word. Political hooliganism. While this would annoy the hell out of us if it was not a Dem cause-celebe...the fake budget crisis was definitely what spurred all this on. So stunts are in order to educate the masses!
