What band would be a relationship deal-breaker, if you found out your significant other was a huge fan?

I'm a very forgiving lover, musically speaking.

Having said that, would have to rule out a christian rock band. Note, wouldn't rule out someone who is super christian (as long as they aren't bigots), but it would just have to be a deal breaker for no other reason than they'd get sick of me making fun of it every time we listened.

Also, will just say right now there will be 3-4 bands people list here that I totally have on my ipod.

I second in John in saying that I'm usually pretty forgiving, although I reserve the right to snark on any band at any time. Insane Clown Posse might be a deal breaker though.

nickelback and rod stewart. i could forgive one or the other, but not both combined.

Nickleback for certain. And I have heard that Bieber Fever is contagious...so I would prefer to avoid that.

I second Nickelback and Creed. Also, the Fray. And, the song that would be a deal breaker is "Had a Bad Day." I loathe that song.

nickleback, muse and any one creed-ish are my deal breakers.

tim, how can you hate on lil wayne? obvi you need to read his rolling stone interviews.

Definitely Nickelback. Justin Bieber is closely behind.

whatever is the band equivalent of battlestar galactica.

Cate , that doesn't even make sense.

Beenu: Muse is kinda good, you are crazy.

I am also adding Justin Beiber.

The guy who did the music for BG Cate used to be in Oingo Boingo...so scratch that off your list. (Fear not, I had to look that up).

I'm living with a Pearl Jam fan, so apparently anything goes.

And I think I've BEEN IN bands that were the equivalent of Battlestar Galactica.

I'll stand by Muse and Coldplay's place in my itunes. The Coldplay hate is especially misplaced. For the overplayed top 40 bands, I'd say they are fairly respectable. Their "Lost" song with Jay Z is one of my most played songs on itunes.

Don't hate on Danny Elfman. My brother loved listening to movie scores growing up, so some of that rubbed off on me.
