I don't know how I feel about these. Cons - 1. People might have plans already. 2. You're making people travel (again probably) during a super busy/bad weather time.Pros - 1. People already have off2. NYE usually sucks, so you might as well have an actual event you have to go to that will have an open bar.
Not in favor. It makes NYE all about them and not about everyone.

I'd love a nye wedding-but only nye- all other long weekend weddings are whack!!
i think it could be fun. as erin said, NYE often sucks. however, it would probably be extra expensive for the bride/groom because venues charge more on holidays. a venue could have a NYE event and charge a ton instead of a wedding.
It is a great way to save money by insuring nobody goes to your wedding.
