Do you thank the flight attendants and pilots when you leave the plane? Even if the attendant was lousy?

I always say, 'Nice landing'.

Definitely. You know how little they get paid, especially on a commuter flight from DCA to CLE?

Absolutely...a good friend of mine is a FA for Continental, and her horror stories are pretty legendary. Another friend is a pilot for America West...same thing. The industry pretty much sucks out loud, so I try to be as nice as possible to those folks.

Yes, but sometimes they beat me to the punch with a "have a nice day."

I do. Though I don't think I've ever had a bad attendant because I don't think I've ever asked for anything outside of the soda/water/coffee.

yeah, i say thank you. i'm the best passenger ever because most flights i'm on leave at an ungodly hour/ while its still dark out and i usually fall asleep before we leave the gate.

I always thank the pilots and usually, but not always, the flight attendants. It's a crappy job, but they should still do it well.
