Go Bama.

Sidenote: I don't have any college football allegiances so I chose Alabama to be my team because:

A) It's Kelly's team and she's teaching me about football. (The next play/rule I'm learning is muffed punt.)

B) I wanted to a team that wouldn't make all of my Penn State friends angry. (If I had chosen Michigan, I don't think Beenu and I would be friends.)

Saban and Satan are only one letter apart.

LET'S!
GO!
P! S! U!

I'm just rooting for Joe Pa to make it through the entire game without pooing in his pants.

Also, I think we need to find Leslie a new teacher for football.

Is it weird that I had to read the comments to figure out what sport was even being referenced????

And having said that, ummm I'm going to go ahead and say GO PATS!!!!

Penn State. Bama should be so thankful that lil Colt couldn't play last year because if he had we WOULD HAVE KILLED THEM.

First, Texas should be so thankful that Bradford was injured or Texas wouldn't have even made it to the championship game..and Texas fans seem to disregard the fact that Alabama would have made adjustments IF necessary.

Second, muffed punt is just fun to say

Third, will of course be rooting for the #1 Defending National Champions, the team with more national championships than anyone in Division I, THE Alabama Crimson Tide.

Sidenote: Alabama fans have much regard/respect for Penn State and Joe Pa, always have, and I hope he has a good season, minus this game.

And now I will probably be banned from QOTD. ROLL TIDE!

am i really supposed to care?

it would be nice if the NCAA would enforce the death penalty for schools that have repeated violations. you'd think certain schools would consider themselves incredibly lucky to have narrowly missed this very fate just a few years ago.

I have nothing but the highest respect for the University of Alabama, their tradition of excellence, their passionate fan base and the spirit of the inimitable Bear Bryant...he truly was one of the greatest of all time.

Now, having said that, they hired that piece of human excrement Nick Saban. The man is the ultimate opportunist who knows nothing of commitment, adversity, honor, loyalty or perseverance. The SECOND things get rough at Alabama, you can bet that he'll be looking for another opportunity...hey, Michigan might need a coach next year, Nick! He's right up there with Pete Carroll, Bobby Petrino, the soon-to-be-unemployed Rich Rodriguez and even my beloved Tar Heels' Butch Davis. No, wait...he's worse than all those, because he's earned absolutely nothing. He was *handed* this national championship team (to take nothing away from them...they were the best team in the country last year, bar none) and he's now taking all the credit. There are stories all over the place about how he handles his players: "You don't talk to me, you talk to your position coach, you hear me??"

If Alabama hadn't sold their souls when they hired that piece of shit, and they weren't playing Penn State, I'd have no problem pulling for them.

Hate is a strong word. I hate Nick Saban.

Go STATE!

Beenu, don't get me wrong, I love Joe Pa. He was great in Up.

Tim, the Redskins chances of winning Sunday are smaller than Chris Cooley's dong

I love my team win or lose, thick or thin, if we never won another National Championship, if Bama wins 62-0. No need to talk shit on anyone... our team is the greatest, our coach is the greatest, and our fans are the greatest and most devoted. Joe Paterno has more dignity as an old man than Nick Saban ever has or ever will have. Now I'm getting mad, so that will be all.

I'm now hoping JoePa does poo his pants.

Texas INJURED Bradford! Nice fake punt Nick. Honestly, Texas nearly won that game with a TRUE FRESHMAN QB playing his first real game time in the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME!! The Horns defense was awesome in that game. Anyone who thinks Bama would have won that game with McCoy under center is certifiably insane.

PS Go to hell Carolina go to hell!

Graduate of the Defending National Champion Duke Blue Devils, Coach Mike

Regarding my earlier point about NCAA infractions, Bama is actually on probation right this very second and had to give up 21 wins because their athletes stole textbooks for other students from the university bookstore. No one will be shocked if they day comes when they have to give up their most recent title because more shady nonsense comes to light.
