No more so than bocce. I'd call it an "outdoor activity."

It no sport; is...hobby. In Kazhakstan we have many other hobbies: disco dancing, archery, rape and table tennis..Success!

After seeing my sister's cheerleading competitions first hand I checked my skepticism at the door and definitely consider cheerleading to be a sport.

I am with Pinch, bocce and kickball are both outdoor activities.

Realizing I could not out-do Borat in the comical category, and not really wanting to be doing what I was doing, I thought I'd check out what dictionary.com had to say about the word. Interesting variations, but this one was amusing:

Obsolete . amorous dalliance.

Coincidence? w.v. is oport.

anything that involves hiding cans of beer from capitol police is definitely a sport.

sure, i'll say it is a sport, but kickballing athletes are not allowed to take themselves too seriously.

(i have a great story from college about some douchebag kid in my italian class who thought that his teammates on his intermural ultimate frisbee team were more dedicated and deserved more respect than the varsity athletes.)

i suck at kickball so yes...probably it is a sport. i mean, i suck at things that aren't sports also, but sports that aren't volleyball make up the lion's share of stuff at which i totally suck.

It's a competitive test of physical prowess involving large motor skills, ergo, it is a sport.

sounds like we need another QOTD on what the definition of "sport" is
