the buying a drink thing wouldn't happen, but i've been texted, called and emailed at all hours of the day/night on or off vacation by my high maintenance boss. he once sent me a text about mozzarella sticks on a saturday when he knew my parents were in town for the weekend. it was weird.

i agree with justin...though i think a 3rd option is that your boss is incompetent and knows he can do something without you.
scandalous. also i would probably poop my pants b/c i would assume the worst in that scenario and think that i did something terribly wrong.
