What do you think will be the next homemade-like comfort food turned trendy restaurant menu item? (Like mac and cheese or tater tots.)

Two things I ate a lot of growing up (frozen Stouffers brand):
Stuffed Peppers
Twice-Baked Potatoes

I also think Green Bean Casserole (or hot dish) should be trendier.

I'm praying for a casserole revolution...I wanna see Eric Ripert's take on Tuna Noodle Casserole more than I want a cure for cancer.

Okay, maybe not that much, but a lot.

what about the tot triangles from the school lunches? Does that count as a separate food from tots?

Speaking of Ripert, does anyone know when top chef comes back?

shepherds pie. mini sized.

another good one, soup...but as the main course. I swear I've yet to have a soup at a restaurant that equals what my mom used to make with portion size, good chunky ingrediants, and nothing in there that tasted like a canned soup.

Peanut-butter-filled hotdogs. You cook the hotdog, then cut a pocket down the middle, and fill it with peanut butter. Frickin' awesome.
