What film trilogy does the '09-'10 DC storm season most resemble?

Given that today's impending DC snowstorm will be the third in the Winter '09-'10 trilogy (because there sure as shit can't be a fourth one down the pike, there simply can't be...), what real-life third movie in a series will it most resemble? Please give the film and a brief explanation.

Godfather. First one was awesome. Second one was a bit more epic, a bit more complex. And I've never actually seen the third one because I heard it totally sucked and was unnecessary, sullying the good name of the series. This third snow officially makes snow no fun anymore. In both snow and the Godfather, the third one is just unneeded and unfortunate.

Godfather three - the first one was good, the second was amazing and I
believe the third was weak and poorly acted.

I guess I am crossing my fingers that this storm will be as effective
as Sophia Coppola's acting (aka not very)

I am surprised at the number of trilogies I didn't know existed: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_film_series_with_three_entries

Most of these no one asked for the second one, let alone the third.

I have reached the bargaining stage.

Didn't realize how obvious GF 3 would be as an answer, perhaps we open it up to any movie.

To sound different, I'll say Austin Powers: Goldmember. The first one was surprisingly fun. The 2nd was the rare sequel that surpassed a great first one. This, however, will have just run out of gas.

Alright lets see...

Following the age old adage of whoever smelt it dealt it, I am going to say, Revenge of the Nerds III. Because this is all the weatherman's fault.

One could also say Back to the Future III, because this place turns into the wild west as soon as any snow storm is announced, and after riding the metro last night, it feels like I have to spend 3/4 of the movie (my life) planning on how to catch a train.
