Real for sure! We always used to have a tree that was all knarly and ugly in the back but looked fine from the front.

I understand the appeal of a real tree, but I grew up with a fake one and have a fake pre-lit one now in my apartment. I think I'd have to vote for fake for practical reasons. I can put it up and take it down whenever, I know it will fit perfectly in my little studio apartment, and the lights are already on it. I can get the pine smell from a nice holiday candle :).

Real! I prefer Scots pine.

most definitely real.

I prefer Scott's pine as well, if you know what I mean...

Fake and pre-lit. No fuss, no muss. Put my parents' fake tree up this weekend. Was done in 5 minutes. More time to decorate and more time to sit with spiked eggnog and bask in its glory.

Plus, who has the time to vacuum the needles off the floor?

real. we usually go with balsam fir. the short needles hold the ornaments really well.

fake for now (fake and silver, i love my fake silver tree), but when i'm a real grown up, i'll get a real tree.

Stick with a wreath (less of a mess).
