Do you ever use a salad or dessert fork to eat a full meal?

Of course! A fork is a fork.

I'm not so fussed about the fork, but I have pretty stringent rules about spoons. Big spoon for soups and other savory items. Small spoons only for cereal and sweet items like ice cream, pudding, yogurt, etc. I'm like the Joan Crawford of spoons.

I'm adverse to any big (read: regular-sized) silverware and only eat with the smaller kind at home. When I visit my parents, my mom, sister, and I still fight over who gets to use the little forks.

sometimes at home, i'll use the salad fork. pretty woman made me think it was VERY important to use the right silverware at fancy restaurants.

I always use the little forks at home. I was the youngest so they were always my forks. I'd know by the size of the fork which seat was mine. In restaurants i don't pay much attention, so I pretty much use whatever fork is put in front of me.

When at home, it's whatever I grab first. Though, I only like to use a small fork when beating eggs. When I'm on the streets, I try to abide the rules of dining etiquette.

I don't like the little forks. I agree with Scotty on the spoons and I curiously interested in sporks!

Never in a restaurant. At home, all the time, though I try to always give guests a regular size fork (doesn't always happen). As for spoons, I prefer the sugar spoon over the ones you are supposed to eat with.

I hate the round plastic spoons you get at Corner Bakery and the like; they don't fit in my mouth right.

i use a shrimp fork to eat everything. NO, i only downsize when i'm out of regular sized forks. however in a restaurant, i demand appropriate cutlery.

Considering I've speared chicken with a knife because I had no clean forks, I'm pretty liberal on my forking policies.

If I could buy only mini silverware for my apartment I would. I prefer the little forks and spoons to the giant (regular sized) ones.

But, like others, in public I try to pretend like I have some civility.
