Well, for me personally, being born was a pretty sweet move.

Not paying taxes and not caring what I looked like.

That most of the great TV comedies started with the word "The". The Golden Girls, The Cosby Show, The Wonder Years, The Facts of Life.

The music was a close second.

All the unprotected sex.

I have two:

1. Gratuitous boob shots in all comedy movies (random topless girls walking through the scenes).

2. Synthesizers used in every song.

i can't pick just one thing. a random sample of my favorite 80s things: side ponytails, stirrup pants, slap bracelets, and those plastic rings you can use to tie your t-shirt without making a knot.

Also, Punk Brewster is a great 80s show that does not start with "The". Remember when she locked herself in that old fridge?

Also Russians and Germans as bad guys in movies. Think Raiders, Die Hard, Rocky 4, Hunt for Red October, Red Dawn.

I'm gonna agree with Michael J. Fox. Two words: Teen Wolf.

And: legwarmers.

I had a pair of bright red Rebok hightops with double laces that I LOVED.

I would wear them while riding my scooter or using my skip-it. :)

i seem to have interpreted this question a little differently than others.

my little ponies were the greatest thing ever (ask mike) and also very exclusive to the 80s.
