Is it appropriate for 10 and 12 year old boys and their fathers to dress as hula girls for Halloween - by tying coconut shells around their chests?

Yes! It is a right of passage. Male bonding. I totes condone cross-dressing for Halloween. My chattus pic reflects that.

I don't see why not. There are a lot more offensive things in this world.

NO (and I am gay)!

That's not dressing up as a hula girl, that's dressing up as a parrothead. My only objection to it is that it sounds cold. Otherwise, go to town...

no. dad needs to grow up and let go of his frat days and not try to indoctrinate his son into a douchey frat guy.

Battgirl, you won't be able to see their nipples, so it's all good.

I must have missed the frat connection to this in college.

I'm a fan, it's got a "Boy Named Sue" quality to it and will toughen up the lil' fucker.

Also, I think we need some backstory on this question.

What? Of course they can! Cross dressing should be encouraged at a young age. That way when they get older they aren't J Edgar Hoover.

I don't see this being any different than a girl dressing up as a male football player... Mom can join in too!
