Under what conditions would you turn down free food?

i have tons of reasons but here are a few:
1. it looks like its been touched (germs!)
2. it's been sitting out for a while
3. it looks gross
4. i saw someone with bad hygiene near the food

If it looks ugly or smells bad or it's something I don't like or there's reason to believe it's contaminated. Or if I'm really full. Other than that, bring it on.

1. I don't like whatever it is (i.e., brussel sprouts).
2. I don't like the person who made/brought it. Or said person has bad hygiene.
3. It's been sitting out for a while--Beenu's right, that's super gross.

The origins of said free food, such as McDonalds or Beenu's kitchen.

How old the food is, and how long its been set out.

If I'm just plain not hungry.

if i'm not hungry or if i am and i know it will ultimately make my pants tigther ie: the 12 donuts that just sat in front of me for a 2 hour staff meeting.

This is a huge problem for me. I have recently discovered that I will almost always eat free food. I guess I agree with the "unless it's rancid" comment. But that's about it.
