Now this is a weird question. Being one of the few people in the world who hates sweets, I'd say never. Buuuut I'm all for breaking from the norm, so I'll say once you move into your dorm room at college.

when they are old enough to vote. teenagers brains aren't fully developed - especially the parts that regulate decision-making and working through the consequences of said decisions. only adults with fully developed brains get cookies for breakfast.

As soon as they are tall enough to reach the cookies and old enough to be left unattended for a few minutes by their parent or guardian.

Is this question code for something?

as soon as you can eat solids! my grandmother's famous saying was 'eating something sweet in the morning puts you in a good mood for the whole day.' so we grew up eating cake, cookies, whatever.

I had cookies for dinner earlier this week. Then my stomach hurt for the rest of the evening...

I'm sorry battgirl, but that's psychosomatic. You've been conditioned by parents and other adults to believe that's what happens to people who eat cookies at improper times. It's all just brainwashing.

Um, never.

My inner "Skinny Bitch" agrees with Andrew and adds "never, ever eat cookies, unless they are vegan and made from only the healthiest ingredients."

My other answer is 87 - when you're old enough to have earned it.

No, this question isn't code for anything. It was inspired by the four year old girl I saw eating a frosting faced cookie with a knife and fork for breakfast this morning.

I thought about it all the way to work and I came to the conclusion that I think people should be able to eat cookies for breakfast when they start buying their own food. (Probably in college or after they move out.)

Side note: I asked my coworkers and it turns out one had a cookie for breakfast and another had chocolate. Love it.
