I have tripped over an ottoman before at my parents house, a la Dick Van Dyke. My brother thought is was hilarious. My mother, not so much when she realized I cracked one of the ottoman's legs.

I ran into the stove with my hip last night. I run into something pretty much daily.

i don't know if this counts entirely, but a couple of weeks ago i was up on a stage at a work retreat thing. i was getting the stage set up for something, and did not notice that the stage ended much sooner than i thought it did. so in front of about 400 people, i fell right off the back of the stage, swiftly, completely, utterly down. i simply disappeared from view. i didn't even know what was happening until i was on the ground. it is quite something to hear 400 people gasp collectively...oh, and the whole thing was videotaped...

reading twitters on my blackberry on the way home from work on Tuesday, I walked into a lamp post. It was so DC and so embarrassing that it was pretty hilarious.

I walk into walls at least twice a day. In my office, at my house...I'm just used to it now.

i pretty much fell asleep momentarily on my walk home from the revelry at the white house and then next thing i knew i ran smack into a person...if that counts.

i'm rather clumsy. my heel got caught in a crack in the sidewalk last week walking to a wedding reception and i walked right out of the shoe and we all turned around and there it was in the crack. that happens a lot.

I trucked a doorframe last week while reading email on my blackberry.

I walk into things daily. My bed. Ouch. Corners. Ouch. Doors. Ouch. But I definitely walk into trees the most often. I walk into them weekly when walking my dog. And if I decide to take Keira for a walk after I've been out drinking... well, that is a guaranteed tree tangle.

I walk into stuff all the time. Dead serious. I can share a
particular tree impact. I was skiing Mount Hood in Oregon two winters
ago and ran into a tree - and got my skis caught in the roots.

I walk into my bathroom door jamb probably every other day. I have really terrible depth perception. And the bruises to prove it.

A better question for me is what's the last time I went through a week not doing that. Yesterday I tried to walk through my screen door on my porch.
