Would you rather...

Would you rather have Obama be president for the next eight years and have your favorite sports team never win a national championship again in your lifetime OR have Obama lose and have your favorite team guaranteed to win eight championships?

Obvi Obama win. My teams could still make a come-back, whereas the country may not.

I hate to say it, but honestly, I would rather have Obama win. In my lifetime, my favorite sports teams have won many times. But, this is right for our future.

The Red Sox have won enough and the Celtics won last year, so I'm good for awhile.
Obama all the way!!!!!

this is interesting...i can't help but think of my own selfish interests. obama as president would certainly be good for the country, good for the economy, good for national security in not continually pissing off foreign folks by pronouncing their names wrong, which in turn is all good for me, hopefully not worrying my insurance company or bank are going under...however, that said, with guaranteed championships for 8 years, i could place big bets on the games, win a lot of money, and buy all the 'security' i want...so really it just comes down to me me me...perhaps my outlook is exactly what's wrong with the whole country...

Obama is my team.

As a Cubs fan, I think Chicago would probably explode after 8 straight Cubs world series wins. I'll stick with Obama, after 100 years, what's 8 more?

i honestly only ever watch sports when someone else is invested in the game or when a team from one of my home towns is like in the playoffs or something, so really i'd have to go with obama because my teams being out of the championships would free up some extra time for me...although generally the teams i like SUCK so it wouldn't be a lot of time, but still...

Being at the Rose Bowl when the Longhorns won the National Championship was fantastic. Having McCain as President is a high price to pay to have another victory. And it probably wouldn't be another "best game in the history of college football" either. So I'll take Obama, Vince and the Horns in 2006 and many, many BCS game appearances to come.

Eek! ...Bears.

Good question. I'd have to go w/ Obama. Knowing that your team is guarenteed 8 championships kind of takes the fun out of the surprise and unpredictability of sports. Also, I've seen the Skins win the Superbowl before twice. Most fans can't say that and they can't take that away from me.

I'll take Obama if we can exclude my beloved LA Kings from this equation. I've seen the Lakers, Niners and Angels all win in my lifetime...but to see the Kings win it would be so sweet. Deal?

I'd REALLY like 8 straight Redskins Super Bowls, but that whole thing about McCain being pro-unnecessary wars is kind of a bigger deal.

this question's too long.

Obama. Obama. Obama. And I write this while staring at my David Ortiz bobblehead. I love the Red Sox but reproductive freedom and, you know, living in a country that elects it's leaders based on intellect and logic rather than beer drinkability would be pretty cool. Plus I will always have the memories of that slightly anti-climactic Wednesday in 2004.

Also, I would much rather have a beer with Obama and Biden, not that it should matter...
