yes. because its just about having a good time with friends and/or family, eating fun camp foods and being "at one" with nature.
and if i was going with you this weekend it would be wicked fun bc i would be laughing at you the whole time :)

Of course it is! It's an excuse to drink outside - also to eat everything grilled. Don't forget about star gazing and skinny dipping. Camping is great!

OF COURSE! It's takes stuff you could do really in any place, such as hang with friends/family, grill, drink, etc...but removes such useless things as a home with a roof, working plumbing, and a shower.

as long as you bring a couple of sleep enhancers, so as to block out the wonderful sounds of nature or wondering whether that noise was a bear.

Let me start out by saying, that I’m taking names on this one. Anyone who thinks camping is fun should be kept at a distance from me.

The closest I ever want to come to camping are the times I had to stay at a Days Inn. Keep in mind, the only time I’ve stayed at a Days Inn was when forced by work and when the Pennsylvania Turnpike closed down in a winter blizzard. In the second case it was the first place we pulled up to that had availability and a bar.

Side note: Those who don’t drink are right up there with those who camp. They are not to be trusted.

So my answer to your question is camping is not fun! The closest I want to come to nature is by drinking a cocktail poolside at the Four Seasons.

No. It's like regressing.

Camping is only fun if you do it in the "high school" sense. That is, you tell your parents you are "going camping" on a Saturday night, when really that means you are drinking Beast Lite in a field, while sitting in the back of a pick up truck, blaring Lynrd Skynrd. Someone also builds a bonfire (and burns all the beer boxes), so when you come home hungover and dying the next day, your parents can smell that you've actually indeed been camping. I think I actually kissed a boy for the first time during one of these camping adventures.

Camping is most certainly fun. Hiking during the day, laying around in hammocks, drinking booze, and eating smores. All surrounded by nothing but trees, mountains, and lakes. Its like taking all the good stuff you like and putting in a gorgeous place where there are no other people around. I certainly dont get that kind of peace at my apartment. I say, Yes...totally fun.

The last time I went "camping" was at a friend's family farm. We went off-roading, drank a keg and then had a keg-throwing contest, grilled kabobs, smoked weed while riding a tractor, and approximately 2/3 of us capped off the night with tent sex. So yes, camping is fun.

Camping is fun. Although, I don't think I've ever really been camping. When I was in high school my friends and I used to sleep in tents in each others' back yards. We were nerds so no alcohol or sex was involved. Somehow, it was still really fun.

Oh yeah, s'mores. They alone are enough to put camping in the "fun" category.

white water rafting, bbq, playing games outside, campfires, drinking too many beers, laughing your ass off, S'MORES,leslie's portable flip cup table, escaping reality for a weekend...what's not to like?? i can't wait!

remember Troop Beverly Hills? Jenny Lewis thinks camping is fun.

And I agree. Except I haven't been camping for longer than a single night in years. I suspect the longer you camp, the less fun.

I have no idea. I have only been once with my mom and sister and I got stuck in the bathroom. A ranger had to come let me out. The only other thing I remember from that trip is that Plymouth Rock is wicked small. And THE BEST: It was my first Red Sox game. We had really, really good seats. I believe it was the second home game of the season in... 1995.
