As a WI native I find it strange when people don't have brats...beer soaked yummy goodness. In fact, we actually have an entire weekend in Sheboygan dedicated to this amazing meat snack...yes, Brat Days. Book your plane tickets now.

Trisha is right. A barbecue involves hours of grilling of meat (over charcoal or smoked wood), usually pork, involving continual basting with barbecue sauce and consumption of mass quantities of beer.

And other down South must adds are deviled eggs, watermelon, and homemade ice cream.
