I still get recess. I've been known to play kickball and an occasional game of wall tag with my students.

In first grade, we played a game we called kiss chase where we would run after the boys and try to catch them and kiss them. A boy ran into a tree once which was hilarious.

Damn, wish I still got to take recess. 4 square, followed by wall ball. TV tag was pretty cool, too.

None of you played tetherball? Really?

red rover, army navy, tether-ball, and the mother of all recess games, the proverbial "cigarettes in prison" game... Marbles. one steelie = four mini cat's eyes.

Four Square and Red Rover. But RR got banned because some wimp kid got hurt.
My girl friends and I also had a protest. The boys wouldnt let us play football with them so we sat in a circle in the middle of their game and chanted "you got to fight for your right to play football and get passed to". Our 6th grade teacher, Ms. Kenney, was a hippie and loved it!

1) Four Square - I was the Monica Seles of Four Square.

2) Flag Football (however, I was always picked last because I could not run as fast as everyone else).

Tetherball is awesome! Even now when I go to playgrounds (which isn't often), I look for a pole.

I used to love four square. I met someone yesterday who didn't play four square until she was in college, which seems so odd to me.

Any form of tag, except grundel tag.
