Having worked for an organization dedicated to saving farmland and related things, I can say "organic" is not consistent and "certified organic" is total BS. And studies have shown organic doesn't really have any added health benefits; perhaps more for the environment, so yay to organic on that front, but like Benji said, it's what's on special for most of us
If I always had enough time and money I would chose organic without any doubts. Unfortunately, it is not like that but I am trying to find the golden mean.

whichever is on special.
Probably organic if it's not crazy expensive.

And that's my soapbox for the week.
Organic all the way.
