If you could have attended any sporting event in the past 100 years, what would it be?

Either the gold medal winning hockey game of the 1980 winter olympics or game four of the 2004 ALCS.

Again, this warrants a top five. In no particular order:

- The 1980 Olympic Hockey Semifinal game between the US and USSR (Leslie, the gold medal game was US - Finland)
- The 2008 Olympic 4x100 Freestyle Relay (US comes from behind to beat France after France talks mad shit)
- Game four of the 1987 NBA Finals (Magic's Baby Hook)
- 1982 NCAA Championship Game (Freshman Mike Jordan sinks a three to give UNC the title over G'Town)
- Game 6 (or 7) of the 2002 World Series

December 6, 1969 - Texas was unbeated in 18 games and Arkansas had won 15 straight. Texas was ranked #1 by the AP poll and Arkansas was ranked #2. With Texas behind 14-8, Royal instructed Street to pass on 4th and inches. Street rolled left and hit Randy Peschel for the 42 yard gain to set up the touchdown. Two plays later Jim Bertlesen crossed the goal line and Texas won 15-14 in what became known as the "Game of the Century".

January 1, 1970 - Fresh off their win against Arkansas, Texas faced Notre Dame in the Cotton Bowl. Notre Dame was ending its 44 year self-imposed bowl moratorium. The game was an instant classic as the Irish led 17-14 with under seven minutes to play. Texas quarterback James Street led a 76 yard drive with 2 fourth down conversions and the go ahead score as Texas won 21-17 and cemented the schools second National Championship. It was also Texas' 500th win in school history.

I wish I could have seen Ali fight. Maybe that first Ali-Frazier fight, thick with anti-vietnam, class-war rhetoric, where he lost so tragically.

Super Bowl XVII (17), Redskins vs Dolphins. Beautiful night at the Rose Bowl. Skins trailed until the 4th, when Riggins broke free for one of the most iconic touchdown runs in league history.

The 2001 Australian Open when Jennifer Capriati beat Martina Hingis in the final.
