I think that they should not wear helmets. I do think that the people who ride in them should wear helmets because more often than not (aka, most but not all) the people who ride in them tend to be a little slow and should avoid all sharp objects.
I didn't realize there is a legitimate helmet debate, but apparently some cyclists feel strongly that helmets create a false sense of security and in certain instances cause injuries. That said, I still think its smarter to wear a helmet than go without, so yeah, pedicab drivers should wear helmets.
I think they should wear helmets. After Nationals games, car traffic becomes a risk. Even if people don't care that they are putting themselves at risk, that doesn't change the fact that someone else has to scoop their brain off the pavement if they get hit.
yes, and they should buckle them too. i knew a guy once (cough jonathan adler cough) that wore a helmet and didnt buckle it. then he got hit by a car and it flew off.
the main way they would fall off of their cab would be by a car strike, and at that point, a helmet is the least of their worries... blaming a cyclist for a head injury after a car strike is like blaming a rape victim for being raped. we need to put the impetus on preventing crashes, not protecting ourselves from the "inevitable"

Anyone on a bike should always wear a helmet. End of story.
