I had never seen these until I went to Denver last week for work, where I saw no less than 4 ladies with feather extensions in the security line.
I texted hipster sister to see how this trend is playing out in Austin. And she said its jumped the shark. Apparently even the soccer moms and their 9-year-old daughters have them there.
That said, I thought the first girl I saw with them looked fun, like the kind of gal we'd hang out with.
