Intervention. Hands down. Top 3 Inteventions: Cristy - the methhead Allison - the computer duster huffer ("it's like I'm walking on sunshine") Sonia and Julia - codependent anorexic twins = brilliance The Intervention special "Meth Mountain" also amazing.
hit send too soon. Hoarders is gross. I don't want to see 5 years worth of garbage and dead cats and rats in a house. Would much rather see someone using gas station toilet water to shoo up heroin.
Jonathan, I've never watched either show. I think Intervention would bum me out and Hoarders would gross me out. I've heard there is an 'animal hoarders' series or something. I don't think I could handle that. I can't even watch ASPCA commercials.
I have seen neither of these either - but the DC hoarder in the news used to live on my block and her stuff filled the sidewalks one block in 4 directions almost chest high...it was pretty creepy.
Intervention for sure. It makes me depressed and I often cry but at this point I feel like if you've seen one hoarders you've seen them all. Christy the methhead was amazing. The fact that she could write out equations of why she equaled god in the nude was on the wall of her bedroom made my night!
This is tough, as its like comparing apples to oranges. On one hand, Hoarders is great comedic relief; on the other, Intervention really sells the nuanced sexuality of addiction. My vote goes toward the latter.
I have seen both. Intervention is gross and hoarders is grosser. Neither of them is quality TV like Bug Juice was, isnt that right Jonathan Adler (tv show snob, since he considers himself a tv star)
I've never seen Intervention. I like Hoarders. I watch it, disgusted, and then I get up and clean a little bit around the house. Its good motivation.
And I will freely admit that I have a tiny sliver of a hoarding tendency, so it terrifies me into donating that shirt I never wear or throwing away the Valentine's Day card my mom sent me.

I watch neither...is that bad?
I am with Jonathan Adler, I do not watch either shows, or TV for that matter (it stifles my creativity).

Hoarders. It's disgusting. I mean, who wants to watch a drugged up, drunk, sex craved imbecile on a reality show about them? Am I right ladies?

Intervention. I haven't seen Hoarders, but the thought of it seems disturbing.

OMG Intervention hands down...
Top 3 -
Sylvia - the alcoholic that drinks the little nips of smirnoff while driving. "It's SOOOOOOOO hard"
Allison - Computer duster huffer who is also a poor mans sarah silverman
Cristy - the naked methhead.
No contest for me: Intervention. Much more interesting stories. Hoarders with all it's petrified barnyard animals is just nasty.
