Haha, you guys were born in the 80's. Great, great holiday-appropriate movies:
Arsenic and Old Lace (1944) The Graduate ('67) The Party ('68) M*A*S*H ('70) Harold and Maude ('71) What's Up Doc? ('72) One Flew Over the Cookoo's Nest ('75) Rocky ('76) Annie Hall ('77) Being There ('79) Airplane! ('80)
And most of all: A Woman Under The Influence (1974)
I'm adding Airplane! and 12 Angry Men to my list. And I was born in the 70s, 1979 but still the 70s.
We watched a ton of old musicals growing up. I think I will add as a couple of nap movies - Pete's Dragon and The Music Man.
Also, I just learned (via NPR) that Annie Hall was supposed to be much longer but Woody Allen cut out every scene that didn't directly reference Diane Keaton and that is how the movie became about their relationship.

A Woman Under the Influence is Amazing.
My parents made us watch a LOT of old movies growing up so we would be cultured and not watch sex/drugs:
The Maltese Falcon
Some Like it Hot
Sunset Blvd.
Love Story
Ordinary People (OMG so good)
On the Waterfront
Jeez. Sorry these are depressing mostly.
foul play
young frankenstein
blazing saddles
what's up doc?

arsenic and old lace
the maltese falcon
the one and only

I love suggesting it b.c. I'm surprised by how many people havent seen it, but Jaws. One of my all time favorites.
Right on, John. For some reason, JAWS is great during the holidays, too.
Netflix queue, not cue :)
