If you could drag out-of-town friends to just one bar in your area... what bar would that be?

Probably Gibson, mostly b/c they make the best sazerac around.

I would like a sazerac from the Gibson immediately. It's like a massage in a glass. That is now on my list. I was just going to go with Tonic.

It used to be Dan's before the smoking ban but now that you can smell the stank I can't even go in there. But when the stench was masked with smoke that place was always a fan favorite. Kate came to visit once and got instructions from a working girl on how she gets "johns" at hotel bars. I remember she was wearing gold shoes. (The lady of the night, not Kate.)

Dan's is the GROSSEST place I have ever been.

I'd say Duplex Diner. They have the heaviest pour around.

Getting tips from the hooker was a highlight of the night.

I would say Eastern Standard or the Castle Bar.

I asked this question more to get answers than give one. Brickskellars was my go to. Had some of my favorite times in DC there. I haz a sad.

In the past I've taken out-of-towners to The Red Derby, H Street Country Club, and Sova, and those all went over well.

Sidebar: I'm about to go back and answer yesterday's QOTD. Is that the first next-day answer ever?

Murphy's in Old Town. A bunch of drunk Irish people singing along with the accordian guy.
