night. people weren't such pansies back in the late 80s/early 90s. yea i said pansies b/c i think that's the best word to explain people unnecessarily freaking out.
also, i don't like this whole rescheudling trick or treat night so it's not on a weekday. that's so lame! i feel bad for kids today.
In my hometown we had trick-or-treating from 1-4:00p on the Sunday afternoon before Halloween. When I was in jr high I went to Concord with Kara Sysyn instead. But by then we were too old to really feel okay about trick-or-treating.
night. always night. and i realized an upside of growing up in houston texas: it was probably 75 degrees most years and we didn't have to ruin our costumes by bundling up.
I am so jealous of all of you! In Manch-vegas, not only did I trick-or-treat in the middle of the day, on a Sunday, rarely on Oct 31, but I also almost always had to wear at least a turtleneck under my costume.

Who f'ing trick-or-treats during the day?
Granted I wanted to TorT all day long but you have to wait until dusk.
If you trick or treat during the day you're a wuss. Nobody does that except for wuss's and the kids in the movie E.T.
Halloween is about the night and being all crazy. It ain't no picnic and it ain't for the weak of heart.
night.
you should ask Iowans about this. They don't even trick-or-treat on Halloween!
night. which helps hide your embarrassment that your mom made you put on lots of bulky, ugly layers of warm clothing under your costume.
is that why day light savings time is strategically placed around halloween? It starts getting dark at like noon... you HAVE to wait until its dark.
No! I didn't grow up in Manchester, NH!! I grew up in the hood and we were allowed to slum at night.

What Kathryn said! Night wasn't much of a problem in Boston back when DST started earlier.
