1) Toss up between Up in the Air and all but the last 30 seconds of An Education (haven't seen any of the other Best Picture noms...I miss working in the business sometimes).
2) I'd have to go with Swayze, but it wouldn't shock me to see the Academy give it to Michael Jackson, even though the best acting he's ever done was in his "I Am Innocent" press release.

1. Hurt Locker and Zombieland (500 days of summer gets the bronze)
2. This is practically impossible, and in impossible situations, I'd want Patrick Swayze to take control. With a Bea Arthur sidekick,
Best Movie I've Seen: A Single Man. Soooooo good.
Last Spot in Memorium: Karl Malden, though Patrick Swayze, Farrah Fawcett and Natasha Richardson will get the most applause.
1. Gran Torino. I know it is a 2008 movie but I just saw it and I think it may now be in my top five of all time.
2. I'm going with Patrick Swayze.
District 9 was pretty interesting. That may be the only movie from this year that I saw.
I'm going all in on Billy Mays for the last spot.

1. Boo. I haven't seen most of the movies I wanted to see this year. Inglourious Basterds
2. Socks the Cat or Dom DeLuise
Hurt Locker or Inglorious Basterds, and I wanna say Swayze...they should use a Roadhouse pic, but it'll be a stupid Ghost or Dirty Dancing one
John, I want you to be nice, until it's time to not be nice.
