In general I feel compelled to read an entire book if I make the effort to start it. There has been an occasion where I couldn’t bring myself to finish a book “Wicked” comes to mind. I just couldn’t get into that book as much as I wanted to.
If anyone has any good suggestions, offer them up. I’m looking for a new one to read. Nothing depressing please. I’m looking for something that will make me laugh.
Depends on the book. A shorter book I might just finish, but i think like 100 pages or so is sometimes necessary to feel like i've given the book a real chance to win me over.
Aimee, I fought my way through Wicked and the sequel, Son of a Witch, and neither was worth it. The musical is a bagillion times better. They made a wise choice to dump most of the weird shit in the book and just go with the basic idea of it. I've seen the show three times, but the books i think i actually tossed in the recycling bin after college because i neither wanted to ever read them again or inflict them on other unsuspecting Wicked fans.
it depends on what is in the queue. I have a book I read on the metro, I hate it, I couldn't tell you what it is about.I will give up on it when I get another book to read on the metro.

What's a book?
I'd say about halfway through the book.

If I start it I will probably finish it. I've finished some pretty bad ones.
3 chapters.
i usually try and finish, but lately I've been giving up halfway through.
Well I finished Twilight... So I guess I never give up on horrible books. ;)

I just quit reading a book after three pages. I have the attention span of a gnat.
