I used to all the time--especially when I was little. But I now chew multiple pieces of gum a day and don't think I've swallowed it in at least the last 15 years. Hard to believe I remember 15 years ago.
yeah, it's been many many years, but sometimes you don't want your gum anymore and unless you want to litter, there's no other option. I think it's been long enough that I'm out of the 7 year window.
I think I only ever swallowed gum twice, both to avoid getting a "punch". We had little blue cards in grade school & if you did something bad you'd get a hole punched in your card. If you got two or more punches you'd have after school detention. The number of punches determined the length of time you had to stay after.

It's been many years. Would only swallow (gum) now if there was no other choice.
I have no idea why, but I swallow my gum all of the time. I probably have a massive gum ball in the pit of my stomach.

never.....i actually have a hard time making myself swallow it.
i never do it. did you hear it takes 7 years to digest? at least that's what mom told us.
I only swallow when there's no other option (i.e., a trash can). When I do swallow, I stress about the 7 years digestion thing.

How often, if ever, do I chew gum? Never. Did you know each piece of gum you chew destorys an acre of rain forest?
When I was little I would all the time. Then someone told me gum stays inside you forever and I now fear I will die if I swallow it.
