I love birthday cake! (Just had to get that out of the way.)
Because I was there when this question was originally asked I am pretty sure it was meant literally and not as a euphemism. My first counter-question was, What condiment would go on a meat pie? I would want more detail about the meat pie before I accept. BBQ sauce? Ketchup? But if all of those questions were answered I'd likely go with both as well. Wait, now that I think about it, there is only one counter-question. Does it include bacon? If the answer is yes, give me the meat pie.

I may question this article's neutrality purely on the basis of its use of the word 'savoury'.
I told you you'd pick Meat Pie, Leslie! How can you pass up something so rare and complex?
