I don't recommend doing it on purpose, but if you truly believe that you're going to live in an urban setting where you have to parallel park and you're not going to get bumped from time to time, then you're a complete moron. I've done it (again, not on purpose), and I've had it done to me. No paint swap, no foul. Just one of those necessary evils that comes with city life. Like having to deal with Red Sox fans.

Yes! It's just a nudge, to let the other car know that your car is there. Gentle should be the operative word.
