Citizen Kane. It was a pretty good movie and had some revolutionary movie techniques, BUT I hate how critics always list it as #1 just because that's what's expected of them.
Toss up between Titanic and Dances With Wolves. I think I'm the only person in the country that wasn't "moved" or "touched" by what seemed like two and a half days worth of shots of buffalo and wheat swaying in the breeze.
And Titanic...well, it sucked. I was very happy to watch that ship go down.
I'd like to find each and every critic responsible for the 76% fresh rating of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and ask them why do they still have their jobs.
Also, Godfather I and II. Yep, you read that right. Great movies, don't get me wrong, but people get too big of a boner over them. Each actor in that actually did something better, and Apocaylpse Now was much better than either.
Great question and one that can spark a lot of controversy.
Take your pick: Dirty Dancing (God-awful) Lord of the Rings Trilogy (beautiful cinematography, but one-dimensional plot and characters) My Big Fat Greek Wedding (Hype for this movie made me think that this was going to be funny as shit. When movie ended, I was still waiting for the funny part to begin)
I could go on and on.
By the way, those of you who say Crash are crazy. Crash was the most original and powerful movie to come out this decade. I'll fight you over it.
BTW the next to final scene in the Godfather when Michael is in the church becoming his nephew's Godfather and all his cronies are going around killing the other dons while the priest reads the lords prayer is one of the best scenes in American cinema.
Anyone who says Field of Dreams has a heart of ice.
I'll agree that's a great scene in Godfather. But a great scene does not make a great movie. Again, those two are great movies But it's consistently in the top 3 for best of all time movies on many lists and I don't think it belongs there.
I don't understand why this movie gets so much acclaim. Yes, it is Niki Zierling's seminal work but Jason Biggs was much better in Saving Silverman and Alyson Hannigan didn't hit her stride until Date Movie.

Crash.
Can't decide which is less deserving: Titanic or Field of Dreams

Glitter
Paris Hilton's sex tape. She can't act.
Magnolia. It masquerades the obvious as the profound and takes three hours to do so.

And um... Field of Dreams is AWESOME.
Sleepless in Seattle
I agree with whoever said Crash...and I'd add Superman.

Crash (from John W.)
What can I say, it's just horrible in every way.
