This is by no means a strike against Dave Chappelle, who has also had his share in shaping comedy, especially on issues such as race. However, Pryor was the first of his kind.
Richard Pryor, no question. I echo Ryan's sentiments that that's not a knock on Dave, but seriously...without Richard Pryor, there would be no Eddie (or Charlie) Murphy, no Chris Rock, no Dave Chappelle.
