Who was the greater comedic revolutionary: Richard Pryor or Dave Chappelle?

This questions sounds remarkably similar to a conversation we had Fri. night at Perry's. The consensus was Richard Pryor - no question. This is by no means a strike against Dave Chappelle, who has also had his share in shaping comedy, especially on issues such as race. However, Pryor was the first of his kind.

Richard Pryor, no question. I echo Ryan's sentiments that that's not a knock on Dave, but seriously...without Richard Pryor, there would be no Eddie (or Charlie) Murphy, no Chris Rock, no Dave Chappelle.

Oh, and yeah. Wu-Tang Clan ain't nuttin' ta f%&k wit.
